I'm happy to wait for the dropin.

#18271 Table Of Contents

Posted by Ray on 29 July 2017 - 04:01 PM

Hey Alex,

If adding a native TOC to the post editor area (similar to footnotes) is something you're able to do with relative ease, I think that would be a nice added feature for a future version of MD.

#17282 First Md Site (Success!)

Posted by Ray on 03 October 2016 - 07:56 PM

Hey Max,

Your site has a really clean layout.

You chose a great color palette

...and I love the animation.

You did a great job with MD...especially with this being your first site built with Marketers Delight.

I'm paraphrasing but, like Alex says "MD makes building a business with a blog easier."

He's right!

Setting up a site for nowtastic.com was a lot easier with Marketers Delight.

The site has a very minimalist aesthetic - check it out and let me know what you think.

#16660 Add Colored Badge To Any Line Of Text

Nice touch Alex.

I'm using colored badges to highlight all the free products/services listed on my Resource page, and blog.

#16659 How To Add The Beacon To Your Header (Or Main Menu)

Posted by Ray on 16 March 2016 - 06:05 PM

Hey everyone...

If you're offering a service from your MD site, you should really consider adding the (pulsating) Beacon to your header menu.

The beacon has been getting more clicks and converting better than my "contact" did. Same placement...better results.

Here's an example of it (Evernote link)

#16612 Post Excerpts

Posted by Ray on 28 February 2016 - 08:32 PM

If you want the "continue reading" link to display on your home page for all of your posts - you will have to inset the <!--more--> tag each time.

Wherever you insert the <!--more--> tag is where your article/post will cut off.

A very detailed explanation (with images) can be found here.

I'm sure Alex will get around to responding but hopefully (in the meantime) this will help.

#16601 Md Popular Posts "pro Version"

Posted by Ray on 24 February 2016 - 01:01 PM

Hey everyone....

If you haven't already added the MD Popular Posts plugin to your MD site, you should.

Okay...so now that you have MD Popular Posts in your sidebar, what do you think about being able to add random posts, specific category posts, or featured posts to your sidebar?

Maybe you simply want to draw attention to some of your older posts because your readership wasn't as big (as it is now) when you initially published those articles.

Maybe you have an Internet Marketing blog and are about to launch a product on Instagram marketing...it would probably be beneficial to have all of your social media and/or Instagram focused articles listed in your sidebar.

We could always use the built-in Content Spotlight widget to add any page or post to any sidebar on a MD site, but the plugin would auto update based on your chosen criteria (featured, category, random, etc).

It looks like Alex and the Kolakube Labs are on fire right now so maybe we can get this premium featured added to the plugin. Maybe it can be offered as a pro version of the plugin? I'd gladly pay for this....who else is with me?

It took 10 seconds to setup and it looks great.

Thanks Alex.

#16150 Marketers Delight Is Helping Me Sell Consulting Services

Posted by Ray on 20 August 2015 - 06:38 PM

Hey everyone,

The Kolokube Forums are back and I'm proud to showcase my new Consulting services site - Raylosophy.com.
I'm using the latest version of MD (4.3) along with the following plugins:
  • Akismet
  • Comments Leadboard (by Kolakube)
  • Easy Digital Downloads w/a bunch of addons
  • Google Analytics
  • Gravity Forms
  • Imsanity
  • Marketers Delight Plugins
  • Menu Icons
  • Share Buttons
  • Simple URLs
  • Subtitles
  • WP Minify
  • WP Super Cache
  • Yoast SEO
I've was fortunate enough to have Alex customize some very specific aspects of the site. My products page is still a work in progress and is still not live on the site, but I hope to have it up and ready for business by the end of the month.
It would be great to get any and all feedback on the look, feel and flow of the website.

I'm looking forward to tweaking Raylosophy and creating more sites w/MD.

See you around the forum!

#15869 *soft* Re-Launch Of My Blog Webpagejourney.com - Built On Md3

Posted by Ray on 01 December 2013 - 07:18 PM

Hey Tom,

Webpage Journey looks great!

I especially love the "post wide" featured images (How did you do that?).

The 'in-post' table of content is a nice touch.

Not sure if this was by design or not, but the icon you're using in the Navigation menu for 'contact' is different than the icon being used for the Archive Title.
